Larimer Square, with its well-restored Civil War buildings, is a successful example of Denver's landscaping. In 1971, Larimer Square became Denver's first historic district. Today it is a major entertainment district. The area is home to art galleries, shops, fun restaurants and gas lights.
It continues to develop and is popular with locals and tourists alike. Most people come here to shop during the day. In the evening, this is a great place to have dinner or watch live music, such as comedians or music bands. This neighborhood is also known as the place where Buffalo Bill once lived.
