After gaining 25 years of experience in culinary and kitchen management, chef and owner Zumo Ashurov opened the Vanka Vstanka or Vanka Café in the summer of 2008 with the vision of creating a diner where everyone feels comfortable, rich and homely.
Master of his craft, chef Ashurov studied at three of the best culinary arts schools in Russia, including the famous School of Culinary Arts named after M. Plekhanov in Moscow. Chef Ashurov started his career in the United States, working in popular restaurants and later in large catering halls. After all, perfect skills and passion for the job prompted the idea of starting a business for myself, and Vanka Café was soon here!
