Polish School of St. Queen Jadwiga

The Polish School of St. Hedwig the Queen in Ridgewood conducts classes on school Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Currently, 290 students are taught in 17 class divisions: from grade 0 to 11 between the ages of 5 and 18. During the classes students will learn Polish language, history, geography, religion, culture and Polish tradition. Extracurricular (artistic) classes are conducted from 2:00 to 3:00 - dance

The school prepares children in Polish to receive holy sacraments: Confession and Holy Communion. After graduating from grade 8, students can take the Polish LOTE exam, which gives them additional credits at High School. For students wishing to deepen their knowledge of the Polish language, a three-year high school was established in 2011. Prepares students for the Matura exam and for the Certificate Exam in Polish.

In the school there are many competitions, academies, interesting meetings. An efficient Parental Committee helps in organizing important school celebrations, i.e.: Christmas Eve, Santa Claus, Carnival Ball, Children's Day. In the school, the “School Gazette” is published.
