Experienced Truck Dispatcher (Dry Van & Reefer)

Elgin, IL | Full-Time | In-Office.

We’re looking for an experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team in Elgin, Illinois.

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and manage Dry Van and Reefer freight

• Negotiate rates with brokers and secure profitable loads

• Plan efficient routes and maximize truck utilization

• Maintain consistent communication with drivers and customers

• Monitor shipments and resolve any issues proactively

• Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries

• Update TMS and maintain accurate load documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of dispatching experience with Dry Van and/or Reefer freight

• Strong freight market knowledge and rate negotiation skills

• Experience using DAT, Truckstop, and TMS software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure

• Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented
