The job responsibilities of the Safety Specialist are determined on the basis of qualification characteristics and can be supplemented and clarified on the basis of specific circumstances:

Create Driver Qualification files for each hired driver, that includes all necessary and required documents as valid CDL, Medical card, passed drug test, valid registration and inspection for truck and trailer.
Maintain, track and check Inspections, maintenance violations on FMCSA. Request drivers to provide repair receipts, add it to DQ files and make brakes and oil report every 3 month.
Maintain expiration dates and validity of truck and trailer documents, as annual inspection and registration. Update DQ files and google sheets.
Maintain and track drivers CDL, medical card validity. Solve and cover tickets issues received by drivers.
Count IFTA for drivers, maintain all truck manufactured before 2015 for semi-annual inspection.
Take measures to prevent and eliminate violations of the fulfillment of obligations, if necessary, involve the appropriate units of the enterprise.
Take part in the analysis and evaluation of the activities of the Safety department.

Skills and experience:
Experience working as a Safety Specialist in transportation industry is a plus
Bilingual is a plus

Compensation: $40,000 — $50,000 a year plus benefits
