Welcome to the European regulations of Schmalz. Since 1972, our family-owned business has been providing old-fashioned European cuisine for the contemporary American way of life. When founders Otto and Amanda Schmalz emigrated to America in 1957, they longed for the traditional food of their homeland. This inspired them to recreate the tastes of the old world in America. Using the skills he honed in Bavaria, Otto began creating traditional recipes. It slowly expanded its operations to include products from many regions of Europe and Asia. At Schmalz's, you can recall your European culinary traditions or open your taste buds to new sensations.
