Job opportunity - Lead Cook for Shaloh House
Shaloh House, a dynamic Jewish Day School located in Brighton, MA is looking for a Lead Cook.
Hours are 7am - 2pm, Monday - Friday, school days
Bring your talent to provide excellent cooking to the school - and create new business opportunities for the kitchen.
Required: Safe Serve Kitchen Manager License or ability to receive the License in a short time
Responsibilities include:
Create standard weekly food orders and produce orders and communicate to buyers.
Check and accept delivery of products.
Timely identify lack of needed products and find substitution from existing inventory or communicate to buyers.
Cook, prepare, and serve food for students and Open Food Site (operarting from the kitchen)- currently about for 475 meals per day- strictly adhering to the schedule.
Train and supervise helpers to follow food safety and sanitary guidelines.
Record daily Production sheets.
Collect and record quantities used and amounts left over.
Cook, prepare, and serve food for special events.
Properly label product in dry storage, coolers and freezers.
Record daily temperature of refrigerator and freezer.
Follow safety and sanitation guidelines established by the district and government agencies.
Follow school standards for attendance and punctuality.
Develops a positive working relationship with coworkers at the kitchen, teachers and administration.
Keep Safe Serve Kitchen Manager License.
